The lab processes stat specimens for the Cancer Center, Pediatric Urgent Care, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and Yawkey 6 Radiology. Specimens are processed Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 6PM.

Chemistry tests performed in the Yawkey Lab include Basic and Comprehensive Chemistry panels, Direct Bilirubin, LDH, Magnesium, and Phosphorus. Hematology tests performed include CBC, WBC differentials, and Cancer Center Urinalysis. A new Yawkey Lab requisition (for use only by the above approved locations) was specially designed and created for the stat samples processed in the Yawkey Lab. All routine specimens from all locations, and stat specimens from non-approved locations, and specimens from approved locations that have non-Yawkey Lab tests ordered are being transported to the Main Campus for testing.
